Purpose of the Association
Shift + Space – Verein für interdisziplinäre Raumkultur und Forschung is a non-profit association pursuing exclusively and directly charitable purposes in accordance with §§ 34 ff BAO.
The purposes of the association include, in particular:
- the promotion of art, culture, architecture, urban planning and urbanism through interdisciplinary cooperation and experimental practices;
- the promotion of social participation and inclusion through the development of the city as a social process and a place of collective care;
- the promotion of environmental protection by strengthening awareness of the urban environment as a living and valuable ecosystem;
- the communication of knowledge and education in order to provide people with tools for actively and responsibly shaping their environment;
- the promotion of research and experimental approaches;
- the promotion of civic engagement and participatory processes; and
- the promotion of sustainable development and resource-conscious design practices.
Basic Direction of the Website (Blattlinie)
The website of Shift + Space communicates and documents the activities, projects, workshops, events, research, publications and educational work of the association.
It provides information and perspectives relating to architecture, urbanism, urban nature, social participation, inclusion, environmental responsibility, research, education and collaborative spatial practices.
The website aims to facilitate knowledge-sharing, public discussion, exchange and collaboration and reflects the non-profit purposes and values of the association.
